Dear Potential Brother-to-Be,
Welcome to the Sigma Chi Fraternity. This letter is to explain what it means to be a recruit and possibly a brother-to-be at our Fraternity. Here at Sigma Chi, there are seven minimum requirements which a recruit must met and hopefully exceeded in order to receive a bid from our Fraternity. Question yourself and see if you feel you meet these requirements. They are as follows:
A man of good character
A student of fair ability
With ambitious purposes
A congenial disposition
Possessed of good morals
Having a high sense of honor and
A deep sense of personal responsibility
Our own members strive to meet and exceed these points every day. As a recruit, you should expect to see these qualities exhibited in our own members, and we would hope that they are apparent in you as well. There are also three goals that our members strive to attain. In order to attain a bid, these goals must be yours as well. Our goals are:
To cultivate friendship, justice, and learning
If these are things that do not appeal to you, we wish you well in finding a place that fits the person you are. If these above mentioned things do appeal to you, stick around and see if Sigma Chi is where you belong.
